GCAA Part-66 Modules Training
GCAA Part-66 Modules Training is the standardized theoretical training and examination process required by the UAE General Civil Aviation Authority (GCAA) for individuals pursuing an Aircraft Maintenance Licence (AML) in the United Arab Emirates.
The GCAA Part-66 system is closely aligned with the EASA framework but includes specific local requirements. Training is divided into individual modules, such as:
-
Mathematics and Physics (Modules 1 & 2)
-
Maintenance Practices (Module 7)
-
Aircraft Systems and Structures (Modules 11, 13)
-
Gas Turbine Engines and Propellers (Modules 15 & 17)
Candidates must complete these modules through exams conducted by GCAA-approved Part-147 training organizations. The number and type of modules depend on the licence category, such as Category A, B1, or B2.
After passing all required modules and meeting experience requirements, individuals can apply for a GCAA Part-66 AML, authorizing them to certify maintenance work on aircraft registered in the UAE.
