UKCAA Part-66 Modules Training
UK CAA Part-66 Modules Training is the formal theoretical training and examination process required for individuals aiming to obtain a UK Civil Aviation Authority (CAA) Aircraft Maintenance Licence (AML) under Part-66 regulations.
Following the UK’s departure from the EU, the UK CAA now operates its version of Part-66, based on the original EASA framework but managed independently. The training covers a range of technical modules such as:
-
Mathematics and Physics (Modules 1 & 2)
-
Maintenance Practices (Module 7)
-
Aircraft Systems and Structures (Modules 11, 13)
-
Gas Turbine Engines and Propellers (Modules 15 & 17)
Each module must be completed through examinations administered by UK CAA-approved Part-147 training organizations. The required modules depend on the licence category (e.g., Category A, B1, B2).
Upon successful completion of all required modules, candidates may apply for the UK CAA Part-66 AML, which authorizes them to perform and certify maintenance tasks on aircraft registered in the UK.
